We serve really important customers in the military and beyond. Those customers expect that their money is protected, that their transactions will go through and be processed successfully. Atian is a mission critical piece of our infrastructure. You know, without it, uh, so much processing, we would not be able to do so much automation. We would not be able to do, we would have to hire so many people. The vision for Academy Bank is to provide fast, easy, personal service to our customers. We want to make them feel like we care about them.
We know who they are and not just a number. I love being able to design and develop solutions to fit, uh, business needs and providing solutions to our business users. As a Swiss Army knife, you can handle almost any situation, whether you're trying to parse reports, whether you're trying to load data, you're trying to extract data, the connectors, they have it connected about everything you can think of. There's hardly anything. We found that we weren't able to use the, the Acton solution in order to accomplish. What we really drove us towards Acton was we were able to start small. We didn't have to have a large upfront investment.
We could start with a small use case and grow from there. We do about a 150, uh, batch ETL processes, um, each day. We also do a lot of real time API integrations and we do those type of transactions about, uh, 7,000 times a day. It allows us to be extremely agile and flexible and to quickly stand up solutions. Uh, we don't have to go out to a vendor. We don't have to pay for a developer, but we can come up with these solutions because the Acton software is so powerful and flexible, um, and easy to use to stand up these new integrations. You know, we could stand up a new API in a day or two.
It's that easy to, to use. Previous to Acton, we would have to have someone mainly download a report several times a day and go post that customer's payment mainly to their account. And so it was very time consuming. It took about probably, you know, four, four to eight hours a day for that person to, to do that work. With the Actian platform, we were able to provide an API for this third party payment, uh, vendor to call or to send the payment information to us, and then we can real time post that information to the customer's account in our core system. One of the great things about the Acton platform is it allows us to have a hybrid solution where we run some things on premise, we run some things in the cloud, and then Acton can connect all that together very easily. Acton has been a, a key critical, uh, infrastructure.
If we had to replace Acton and the amount of work and level of effort, uh, would be extremely conservable. Um, it's not something I'd probably want to go through, so I'd probably, uh, turn in my resignation if that was the case.
