Chris Clark is Engineering Manager for OpenROAD and Ingres Connectivity at Actian, leading Development and Sustaining Engineering for both teams since 2013. Chris has worked with Ingres since 1992 and joined the organization (then ASK / Computer Associates) in 1994, building deep expertise across client and UI support, DBA and performance support, and engineering. With more than three decades of hands-on experience across the full Ingres stack, Chris brings a rare, end-to-end perspective on how Ingres and OpenROAD are used, supported, and modernized in production.

Pradeep Muthalpuredathe is the VP of Engineering for Database Solutions at Actian. With three decades of leadership in cloud engineering, product management, and data platforms, Pradeep oversees the development of Actian’s relational, analytical, and hybrid database offerings. He is dedicated to building scalable, future-ready data infrastructure that simplifies how organizations around the world manage and unlock value from their data ecosystems.

Steffen Kläbe is Chief Researcher at Actian, where he focuses on modern data management, database innovation, and AI-ready architectures. He helps translate emerging research into practical technologies, contributing to areas such as vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-powered data systems. Steffen holds a PhD (Dr.-Ing.) from TU Ilmenau (Germany) and is the recipient of several academic and industry awards for his research in data analytics and database systems.

David Coote is a Senior Principal Consultant at Actian with more than 40 years of experience in IT and over three decades working with Actian Ingres and Actian OpenROAD technologies. He began his career in 1983 as an ICL mainframe operator for Nottingham City Council before moving into programming and working with Ingres and Windows 4GL, which later became OpenROAD, from 1991.

David has worked in professional services since 2000, supporting customers across roles at Computer Associates, Ingres and Actian. He brings extensive hands-on experience of enterprise database environments and the evolution of Ingres and OpenROAD technologies.

Darren Horler is a Software Architect and Senior Manager, Engineering at Actian, where he leads engineering teams behind Actian’s database solutions. He plays a hands-on role in shaping the architecture and continued evolution of Actian Ingres, helping ensure the platform delivers the reliability and performance that mission-critical systems depend on.
