My name is Marc Potter, CEO of Actian, the data and analytics division of HCLSoftware. On 12 September 2024, Actian finalized the acquisition of Zeenea as a strategic part of the Actian growth strategy. I want to communicate our commitment to you, Zeenea, and the current roadmap which we will deliver as planned. With this acquisition, Actian is increasing investment to accelerate product development, innovation, and future roadmap capabilities.
At Actian, we are focused on the customer, making customer experience one of Actian’s top priorities as a business. Your ongoing feedback is valuable and will shape our roadmap in the future. In the coming weeks, you will be invited to sessions with the Actian product team to learn about the long-term vision for our product portfolio. More details will be shared soon.
As we integrate the Zeenea and Actian teams, you should expect there to be no interruption or degradation to your current service, including commitments to maintenance, updates, and ongoing support. Actian will honor current customer contracts with Zeenea.

Actian has acquired Zeenea to broaden its data portfolio and provide a more holistic offer to customers and prospects. The Zeenea capabilities complement Actian’s current portfolio. Customers want to work with a vendor that can provide a unified ecosystem of products and the Zeenea acquisition gives customers that opportunity.
The acquisition puts Actian (combined with Zeenea) right in the middle of an exciting growth market. We offer customers a complete data ecosystem from a single vendor, which is a key differentiator. Actian will now be able to provide customers with what they need for their data mesh and / or data fabric – depending upon their needs.
Zeenea was acquired as part of the Actian portfolio. Actian is a division of HCLSoftware which is part of HCLTech. The acquisition of Zeenea is now backed by the organizational strength of HCLSoftware and further enables growth across our global capabilities.
The Zeenea teams will integrate into the respective Actian teams effective immediately. Luc Legardeur, the CEO and co-founder of Zeenea is now part of the Actian Executive Leadership Team.
For the immediate term, the Zeenea brand will remain intact.
The acquisition of Zeenea rounds out Actian’s broad data technology portfolio by adding data catalog, data lineage, metadata management, and an Enterprise Data Marketplace to our portfolio of data management infrastructure technologies.
Actian is committed to the current roadmap commitments made by Zeenea and will deliver on them as planned. Actian will invest resources into Zeenea which will accelerate development of additional connectors and new feature innovation. Longer term, there will be opportunities to integrate our products and add new capabilities based on customer input. We remain focused on innovation, flexibility, and ease-of-use. As details become available, roadmap updates will be shared with all customers.
Customer experience is one of Actian’s top strategic priorities as a business. Our customer’s feedback is at the center of every decision, including the influence of our product roadmap. In the coming weeks, Zeenea customers will be invited to sessions with the Actian product team to learn about the long-term vision for our product portfolio. More details will be shared soon.

Actian has a customer first approach to product development. We will always welcome customer input to the roadmap – for feature enhancements and connectors. We will expand the Customer Success team and your Customer Success Manager can facilitate this process.
There will be no changes to your primary contacts at Zeenea. Zeenea customers will continue to work with their dedicated Customer Success Manager. Actian will be expanding and investing in Customer Success.
Actian will honor current customer contracts with Zeenea and is committed to a strategic partnership with customers moving forward.
All support requests will continue to follow the same process as before the acquisition. If changes occur, communications will be sent with advanced notice.
There are currently no changes to billing or how payments are made.
