Rohit De Souza
CEO and President
Rohit De Souza joined Actian as Chief Executive Officer in October 2016. Rohit brings nearly 25 years of blue chip, strategic technology and change management experience to the role, having driven results at both large enterprise technology companies and smaller, early stage ventures in a global context. Prior to his appointment at Actian, Rohit held the President and acting CEO position at BeyondCore, where he refocused its go-to-market strategy and drove the acquisition of the company by Salesforce. Prior to BeyondCore, Rohit held multiple leadership positions at HP, including Vice President and General Manager for HP Software – Autonomy / IDOL and prior to that Vice President and General Manager for its Retail Publishing division, where he was responsible for the business’ exponential growth and established HP as a leader in worldwide retail photo and publishing. Rohit has held leadership roles at Siebel, Oracle, Booz Allen & Hamilton and Intel, where in each instance he contributed to the accelerated growth and market success of the firm. Rohit holds dual master’s degrees in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Madras University in India.
Chief Financial Officer
Gregg Hampton has joined Actian in the role of Chief Financial Officer, having served the same role at Blue Coat Systems since August 2013. As Actian CFO, Gregg leads the financial and administrative organizations including the finance, IT, HR and legal teams. Prior to his Blue Coat CFO role, Gregg served as Vice President of Business Operations for Blue Coat. Before joining Blue Coat, Gregg served in various roles at HP, including General Manager of Enterprise Software and Vice President of Finance. Gregg had joined HP through its acquisition of Mercury Interactive, where he served as Vice President of Internal Audit/Global Compliance and Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Mercury Interactive, Gregg held a variety of positions at Sun Microsystems. Gregg started his career at Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche LLP).
SVP – Sales
Brad Crosby, a 25-year industry veteran with deep enterprise software expertise, leads the Actian Sales, Services and Alliances efforts across the entire product portfolio. Brad and his team are committed to driving value for all our customers by partner with them to solve their most complicated data issues. Brad is focused on expanding Actian’s existing customer base and helping customers future-proof their IT infrastructures.
Brad joins Actian from BDNA, an enterprise software company focused on technology data allowing companies to make the best business. While at BDNA, Brad’s team nearly tripled sales in 3 years, built and grew key technology partnerships, and secured many customer and company awards. Prior to his role at BDNA, Brad served 13 years at Informatica, most recently as SVP of sales. During his tenure, Informatica grew from 100 million in revenue to 1 billion.
Brad holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia.
SVP – Global Marketing
Lennard Fischer is the senior vice president of Global Marketing for Actian Corporation with responsibility for the company’s corporate brand, global and customer communications, product marketing, web properties and integrated marketing efforts. Len leads the company’s corporate positioning, branding and identity, marketing campaigns, public relations, analyst relations and social marketing programs to drive engagement with customers and influencers globally.
Most recently, Len served as executive vice president of Marketing for BDNA and was responsible for the worldwide marketing function. Len previously held key leadership roles in Marketing and Sales at Informatica and played an instrumental role in their growth from an early technology pioneer to the number one independent provider of data integration software. Len holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Additionally, he received his Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University.
SVP – Product Development
Mark Milani is SVP, Product Engineering at Actian. He leads the Actian Analytics Platform, Action Apps and Operational Database engineering teams across Actian. Mark joined Actian in 2012 with over 20 years of engineering and leadership experience, having most recently served as SVP of Service Engineering at Oracle, where he led the technology direction and delivery for Oracle’s Cloud Services. In this role, Mark was responsible for developing standard service solutions for Oracle software over cloud architectures and management infrastructure. He also provided engineering solutions to Oracle’s Global Customer Support and Advanced Customer Services.
Prior to heading Service Engineering, Mark led Oracle’s Platform Technologies Engineering and the Worldwide Product Translation Group, where he was responsible for delivering Oracle’s database, middleware, and application product lines across Oracle’s supported platforms. Before Oracle, Mark held a variety of leadership positions developing cross-platform and database solutions at Cross Access, Aion Corporation, and IBM.
