Actian Zen more than 100x faster than SQLite
Sometimes speed matters, make the smart choice

SQLite is ubiquitous in mobile and web apps as a simple data cache. Unfortunately, SQLite lack luster performance limits its use in IoT and other Edge applications, in particular with high-speed or multi-channel data use cases.
With Actian Zen, developers and product managers get all the advantages of SQLite but in a powerful, secure, and scalable engine that can run serverless or as a client-server. Actian Zen is orders of magnitude faster than SQLite.
This benchmark compared Actian Zen Core and SQLite, both running on a Raspberry Pi 3, an ARM-based mini-SBC (single board computer)
- Actian Zen Core outperformed SQLite for Indexed and Non-Indexed data management by:
- more than 100x on inserts
- up to 1,500x on deletes,
- over 600x on updates
- Actian Zen Core was faster across the board particularly in write speed—the area where it tends to really matter in embedded Edge applications.
