You can subscribe and start using HCL Informix quickly. Plus, operating expenditure (OpEx) through a cloud subscription can be more flexible than capital expenditure (CapEx) since you don’t have to budget in advance for a new expenditure. 

AWS provides the infrastructure to run HCL Informix® in a flexible, scalable, and cost-effective manner in the cloud. The Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for HCL Informix contains all the components required to launch a virtual server instance in the AWS cloud. Simply select the AMI that meets your business needs and launch as many instances as required.  

The HCL Informix AMI includes the latest versions of: 

• HCL Informix (equivalent to IBM Advanced Enterprise Edition) 
• CSDK 
• JDBC 
• Informix Warehouse Accelerator (IWA) 

Note, the HCL Informix engine, CSDK, and JDBC are installed and configured for OLTP environments. IWA will need to be configured to requirements.
