	DBTA 100: The Companies That Matter Most in Data Database Trends and Applications introduces the inaugural “DBTA 100,” a list of the companies that matter most in data. DBTA decided to focus strictly on companies that provide a product or service related to data management. Some of the companies have been around longer than any of us can remember. They provide technologies and services that have been on the market for many years and do so exceptionally well. Others are new on the scene or have game-changing approaches that are not yet widely embraced.
	Big Data 100: Data Management Actian Corporation, a leader in next generation big data management and creator of the analytic database Vectorwise, has been named to UBM Tech Channel’s CRN 2013 Big Data 100 list. The inaugural list recognizes innovative technology vendors that offer products and services to help businesses manage “Big Data” – the rapidly increasing volume, speed and variety of information being generated today.
	Forty Vendors We’re Watching: 2012 Actian Corporation is proud to be named to Information Management’s list of “40 Vendors We’re Watching.” Jim Ericson, Information Management editor, notes the tremendous groundswell in new technologies shaping the way businesses and individuals interact and use the data in their lives.
	InfoWorld 100 Awards - Save Mart and Peerless Foods Actian Corporation proudly congratulates customers Save Mart and Peerless Foods for being awarded InfoWorld 100 Awards. Save Mart was honored for migrating its retail operations from proprietary solutions to an open source-based architecture centered around ingres and SUSE Linux. Peerless Foods was recognized for developing an ERP system based on open source software from Actian and Jaspersoft.

	LinuxWorld Product Excellence Award - Actian CAFÉ Running on Linux, Actian CAFÉ bundles together many open source-friendly solutions, including the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE), Ingres Database management system (DBMS), Apache Tomcat, Hibernate and JavaServer Faces (JSF) libraries into a single installable package. Before Actian CAFÉ, Java developers working on Linux had to download, install, and configure this stack of technologies themselves.

	Actian Named Top Up and Coming Open Source Company Actian Corporation, the leading open source database management company and pioneer of The New Economics of IT, announced today that it has been named an up and coming open source company in the North Bridge Venture Partners' 2009 "Future of Open Source" survey.
